Best & Fairest

Captain and key midfielder Ricky Waldron has claimed his third Blackwood Football club best and fairest award for his efforts throughout season 2009. Phil Swincer claimed runner-up following a close contest that was won in an intense final round. Other favourites Sam Fotheringham, Sam Coyte, Max Cheek and Jordan Mandemaker polled well throughout the night.
Woodies Bow Out

The Blackwood Senior Colts have lost their Semi Final against Birdwood to go out in straight sets for a second straight year.
Mandemaker Returns!
Young gun Jordan Mandemaker has chosen to play finals footy with the Woods. Having had
a successful year at West Adelaide, Jordy made the decision to play with his fellow woodsman
in their bid for the flag.
Blackwood Represents

Blackwood players Phil Swincer, Sam Fotheringham, Ricky Waldron, Jackson March
and Sam Coyte enjoyed success at this years Interleague competition with a 17 point
triumph over the Barossa League.
Kenbeast Soars
Key forward Haydn Kenny produced a stand out six goal performance to lift the Woods
over Birdwood in Round 7. Max Cheek was also solid with four goals while Jordan Mandemaker
and Ricky Waldron were reliable in the midfeild.
